Aerobed Sleep Away Elevated Inflatable Bed Review

The bed was/is terrific. We use it for guests at our home, and for ourselves on the road.AeroBed service is ultimately terrific, when you finally get to talk to someone.Alas they believe in 'Your business is important to us...meanwhile here's a commercial..." 20 minutes later, all is almost forgiven. After a short while our mattress sprang a small leak.We tried all the recommended actions to repair the leak. When we couldn't fix it, after finally getting through to someone, they were terrific - exchanged the product, and did so quickly, and with no cost to us beyond very small postage.

Aerobed Sleep Away Inflatable Bed Review

The bed blew up quickly and easily and the built-in pump makes it easy to make with regular sheets. Only problem is that the sides are slippery, so the sheet doesn't stay in place for a real long time.

Easy to deflate and put away, too. It practically folds itself back up.

Aerobed Raised Queen Bed with Pillow Support Review

My impression of this bed is pretty good owing to it's sturdy build quality and ease of setup.I left the bed outside for awhile after the first unpacking to help get rid of the new plastic smell. The only extra thing you need to set it up besides ample space is an electrical outlet.

The pump is built into the side of the bed itself with an easy to dial control (inflate, off, deflate) to adjust the hardness of the bed, as well as a larger deflation valve (basically a large capped hole) when you are ready to put it away. The pump has a resettable fuse with shut off to protect the pump from engaging longer than 10 minutes (should take ~4 minutes to fill according to the instructions).I suppose if the pump fails or the bed springs an unrepairable leak, then the whole thing is a lost cause, instead of being able to salvage just the bed or pump individually.

The bed itself is comfortable. The surface is frictionized to help keep the sheets from sliding all over and the headrest helps keep the pillow from falling off the top.It comes with a storage bag with shoulder strap, and it actually fits in there, though the small built in pump prevents you from totally rolling it up flat. The bag's shoulder strap is handy since it is a relatively heavy item, at least ~30-35 lbs.

It's great to spring the bed out for guests in our cool basement.Initially, my son had fun jumping around on it (highly discourage that for many obvious reasons...).

Aerobed Guest Choice Inflatable Bed Review

The mattress worked as advertised, and I wasted only a little time
figuring out how to turn on the air pump---it pumps only when
attached. The biggest problem is the "new plastic" smell, which
remained quite obnoxious even after 3 days of airing out the
fully inflated mattress (at room temperature). At that point all
I could do was apologize to my house guest. One reviewer
recommended giving any new Aerobed at least a couple of days to
air out before its first use.I would change that advice to strongly
recommend allowing at least a week.
