Sleep Number p6 King Bed Set by Select Comfort Review

First note that we do not have the p6, we have the 5000, which based on price and features has become the p6 -- but of course I could be wrong on this.

pros:
-adjust your side to where it is most comfortable to you.
cons:
-the bar in the middle of the bed, makes snuggling a bit uncomfortable
-if your partner decides to crowd your side of the bed, it is no longer comfortable.(imagine a ziploc bag filled with air, as you apply more pressure, the rest of the bag gets more firm)
-the wireless remote eats batteries
-your kids will mess with your settings and then hide the remote so you can't fix it.

We have had this bed for 2.5yrs and it is probably the worst 3k we have ever spent... well, after that little blue car my hubby bought in college.I wish we had looked into the temperpedic models more.Next bed will come sooner rather than later and will not be a sleep number!

I didnt have the shipping issues the other reviewer did--my bed arrived from fed-ex exactly on time and packed up perfectly. Maybe the only downside was i had to haul the mattress to my actual apartment as the fed-ex guy only got it as far as my elevator.

As for the bed itself, super comfy. I wish they had made the full-size with the air-venting bottom foam cuz it does get a teensie bit warm, but i sleep with my window open so its not a big deal for me. You cut open the vacuum plastic packaging and the thing unfolds and inflates itself. The smell took a few days to dissipate, but it really wasnt horribly smelly to begin with.

Overall, very satisfied with this purchase and at 399 shipping included, really cannot be beat!
