Therm-a-Rest Wrap-it-Pillow 20 Review

Therm-a-Rest Wrap-it-Pillow 20THIS WRAP IS GOOD FOR PROTECTING YOUR PAD ON THE TRAIL OR IN ROUTE TO. THE PACKING AREA IS FUNCTIONAL BUT TERRIBLY UNCOMFORTABLE NO MATTER WHAT YOU STUFF IN THERE.YOU ARE BETTER OFF NOT HAVING A PILLOW. OR USING STUFFING MATERIAL OUTSIDE WRAP.I HOODY FITS GREAT BUT IS MORE COMFORTABLE JUST ROLLED UP OUTSIDE THE WRAP. THE WRAP KEEPS IT TOO TIGHT LIKE YOU ARE SLEEPING ON A BRICK. WORTH THE MONEY JUST HAVING SOMETHING TO PROTECT AND CONTAIN PAD THOUGH.

Texsport Double Action Pump Review

Texsport Double Action PumpI bought this new Texsport pump to replace a "DoubleQuick II" that split down the middle that had lasted only as long as the airbed I used it on. Compared to the DoubleQuick, the Texsport is massive and much more robust in construction. Judging by size, the Texsport may pump slightly more air volume per stroke. The only advantage the lighter DoubleQuick would have is to fit in a backpack and weigh less than the Texsport. For home or RV I would choose the Texsport.

This pump has two hose connections, air out and air in. Air in for deflating every last bit of air, making it useful as a decent manual vacuum pump.

The only downside is that on my unit, on the down-stroke the internal valve does not reverse until half way down, thus giving 1 and 1/2 air pumps per push-pull cycle.

Texsport Self-Inflating 3-Section Mattress Review

Texsport Self-Inflating 3-Section MattressOne section didn't self inflate and I had to blow it up. That is the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars.

Stansport Self-Inflating Air Mattress Review

Stansport Self-Inflating Air MattressSelf Inflating means that when you release the mat from its rolled up condition, the air pressure will begin to equalize inside the foam and the mat will 'appear' to be self inflating as it slowly unrolls.

Now that I've gotten that out of the way - let me tell you that this is WAY better than sleeping directly on the floor of the tent - which I have done several times and no way will I ever be without a mat again.

It also adds several degrees of warmth much needed on a chilly camp night. You will want a least a 25" width on your mat or else what's the point?

One thing you should be warned about however - once I unrolled the mat I could not for the life of me get it rolled back up and secured with the straps - even though I let all the slack out of the straps - that is how tightly they come rolled from the factory. So now I have to store them folded in half in the spare room or closet.

If you were thinking of buying just a foam mat ( without the nylon cover ) don't do it. The heavy nylon covers are there to add stability to the foam, and without it you will not get as much support.
